MYSTRO
This mixed quartet of Washingtonians (DC) is noted for its acapella harmony. Its members are Timothy Brooks (tenor), Amina Carter (soprano), Kevin Thomas (tenor), and Mikel Walker (baritone). The group has participated in numerous talent showcases and usually places in the top three. In addition to receiving monetary prizes, winnings have included free studio time, and other royalties.

Mystro's goal is to be multi-talented by acquiring a competitive edge in the music industry. The group has written over thirty original songs and cover tunes. Some members of the group are receiving comprehensive study in recording and engineering on such consoles as the SSL, NEVE, API, and programming software (MIDI). Although considered an R&B group. the quartet is extremely versatile. It's repertoire ranges from sophisticated funk to sultry love songs.

In addition to becoming multi-talented, the group aims to be a positive role model. The acronyrn Mystro represents:

Mystro accepts the challenge of breaking the chain of selling sex, and promoting violence to the youth of tho world. It believes that the quartet should not only sound great, but also relate the message to the listener. In so doing, Mystro will indeed raise contemporary music to loftier heights.

Justine Hall has been singing professionally for 13 years. Her training consists of 9 years of classical music, studying with well known vocal instructors Carol De'Santis, Ruth Drucker and Thomas Houser. Ms. Hall is also very involved with acting. She has been apart of numerous television commercials, industrial films and is a veteran of musical theater. Some of her shows include, DREAMGIRLS, GREASE, A CHORUS LINE, and BIG RIVER. This native Marylander, is a member of two of
Washington DC's hottest bands. She is also a lyricist and playwriter in training.

A Rapper, DJ, Songwriter and Producer with the skills to not only make you dance, but make you think as well. Delivering lyrics filled with humor or sometimes raw and gritty with pin-point accuracy, TKZ always gets his point across. Working with artists like Maysa Leak, Kim Waters, Lonnie Liston Smith, Gregory Grainger and Gary Grainger (who collectively have recorded and worked with Whitney Houston, John Scofield, Nancy Wilson, Earth Wind and Fire, Melissa Morgan, After 7, Pockets, and Peaches and Herb to name a few) has allowed TKZ to take his musical skills to another level, because Hip Hop has evolved into more than just a beat and a sample. And just as smooth as the colors on a chameleon, TKZ can change his style to fit his moods and his music. "Life is filled with many experiences, both good and bad, and I like to bring that to my music. I don't just say "Keep it Real", I live it", says TKZ.
