After years of honing their skills by touring and recording
with such artists and producers such as Kim Waters, Graffiti, Ken Navaro, John Scofield, Whitney Houston, 4PM, After 7,
Lonnie Liston Smith, Ron Holloway, Frank Gambale, Larry Bright, Dennis Chambers, Eumir Deodato, Maurice and
Verdine White and three albums with the group Pockets, Gary and Gregory Grainger have blended their talents, as only
brothers can, to deliver the world of music the purest element of funk and jazz with a justifiable attitude, kicking grooves,
hot licks and pulsating bass lines. The Grainger's unique sound is enhanced on Phase I by the talents of Maysa, Kim
Waters, Paul Jackson Jr., Gary Thomas, Ramlee, Moe Daniels, Jimmy Wilson and Dan Reynolds, just to mention a
few. Sure to delight even the toughest critics, this collaborative effect will prove to be the hottest in new
contemporary jazz. One need only hear the music of brothers Gary and Greg Grainger to know that they are taking the
world of music to another Phase. These two separate but one musically, have bridged the worlds of
acoustic and digital sound and masterfully executed every detail to produce spine
tingling tunes that are destined to top the record charts.
